The BCCI Officials Have Understood That The T20 World Cup Is Moving Away From India
Despite seeking time from the ICC to host the T20 World Cup, Indian board officials have come to realize that it is not possible to host the tournament in India. In that case, the first option is the United Arab Emirates, but the name of Oman has been added. In addition to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, there may be some games in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
“It is true that India has asked for time at the ICC board meeting, but it has also been said that the BCCI should be allowed to host the competition wherever it takes place,” a board official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told PTI. He claimed that Muscat was named for the preliminary round. This will give the fields of Amirshahi time to prepare.
The official said, “If the IPL ends on October 10 and the World Cup in Amirshahi starts in November, there will be enough time to prepare the pitch for such a big competition. The first week’s game could be in Oman. ” Many people think that no matter how long India is in the Nick, the country will be at risk of hosting the T20 World Cup in October-November.
The head of the board, Saf, said, “At present, 120,000 victims are being caught every day. But if you decide to hold the World Cup in India at the June 28 meeting, how do you know what the situation will be like in October? What if the third wave comes? ” He added, “Everyone in the BCCI knows that the rainy season is not the reason behind taking the IPL to the Emirates. 2500 crore is depending on IPL. If someone is attacked in a 16-team competition like the World Cup, then it cannot be stopped like the IPL. It is impossible for small teams to bring in alternative cricketers. ”
