Patna: Bihar politics is currently in the midst of an uncle-nephew dispute. Chirag Paswan has been asked to relinquish all responsibilities of the LJP on the instructions of his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras. Chirag, on the other hand, is reluctant to step down, claiming to be a “tiger cub”. In the meantime, Pashupati Kumar sat down and made unfounded remarks. On Thursday, he mistakenly said, “I will resign as party leader as soon as I take over as Union Minister.”
For the past few weeks, there has been speculation about expansion in the Union Cabinet. Meanwhile, Pashupati Kumar’s announcement sealed the speculation. But his comments ultimately hurt political experts. Because, Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not like to publicize any decision before it is finalized.
On the other hand, a section of BJP leaders in Bihar have already said in Delhi that the decision to support Pashupati Kumar by removing Rambilas Paswan’s son was wrong. When many LJP leaders were called, they claimed that they had spoken in support of Chirag instead of Pashupati. According to them, Pashupati Kumar does not have the skills or charisma to do politics at the national level. On the other hand, Chirag Paswan has acceptance among the youth community of Bihar in addition to the Paswan group.
Just last week, five MPs threatened to leave the party due to a revolt within the Lok Janshakti Party. They have also written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla asking him to look at them as a different party. Chirag Paswan had to resign from the post of party chief. On the other hand, Pashupati Parsa has also made it clear that he supports the NDA alliance.
