In the next 48 hours, the temperature may rise up to 3 degrees in Kolkata and South Bengal.
It is raining in Kerala 2 days after the scheduled time. According to the weather building, the south-west monsoon is getting stronger from Tuesday. The monsoon is coming to Kerala on June 3. Mausam Bhaban says that the arrival of monsoon in the country is two days after the scheduled time.
According to meteorologists, south-west monsoon winds have been increasing since Tuesday. The monsoon may enter the state within the next two weeks. Meanwhile, pre-monsoon rains have already started in the state. On Sunday, it rained with thunder and lightning, light and moderate rain. Incidents also happened in this rain. Two people, including a teenager, were killed in a lightning strike in Harishchandrapur on Sunday, in addition to heavy rains in Malda. Two more people were injured when lightning struck their house in Harishchandrapur.
Heavy rains also lashed Raiganj in North Dinajpur on the day. Out of 28 wards of Raiganj municipality, 20 wards were submerged. Rain falls in South Dinajpur, Birbhum, Purulia. According to the meteorological department, there may be pre-monsoon rains in the state in the next few days. There will be more water vapor in the air for rain. That is why the uncomfortable situation will remain.
