Kolkata: Mithun Chakraborty was virtually interrogated by the police of Mankitla police station. Mahaguru was interrogated for making offensive remarks during the election campaign. It is learned that the police officers of Maniktala police station questioned Mithun Chakraborty for 15 minutes.
Mithun Chakraborty was embarrassed to use this famous dialogue of the movie ‘I will kill a corpse in the crematorium here’. A complaint was lodged with the Maniktala police station against Mahaguru for spreading violence and disturbing the peace across the state. The FIA is referred to under sections 153 (a) and 504,505 of the Indian Penal Code. Mithun Chakraborty then appealed to the High Court to dismiss the case.

The High Court directed Mithun Chakraborty to co-operate in the case. Maniktala police then interrogated him virtually as directed by the Calcutta High Court. During the interrogation, the investigators wanted to know, what is the context of making this comment? The investigating officers of Maniktala police station also want to know whether there was any motive behind this comment.
Just before the Ekushey election, Mahaguru Mithun Chakraborty had officially enrolled in the Gerua camp on the brigade stage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself handed over the Padma flag. At that time there was a huge crowd at the Brigade Parade Ground. The lion’s share of them are also Mahaguru devotees. There, Mahaguru said the bizarre dialogue of his movie at the behest of the audience.
After that, Mahaguru has held several road shows and meetings to create a storm in the election campaign in Bengal. Mahaguru said this famous dialogue of his 2014 movie there too. But that’s tomorrow! The election stage, how can a public representative from the entire political stage make such a comment, the case was filed in Maniktala police station. The case was filed on May 6 after the polling. Then the Mahaguru had to face interrogation on the direction of the High Court.
The day Mithun was interrogated by the police in the morning, incidentally, it was his birthday on 16th June. Mithun completed 71 and set foot at 72 on Wednesday. BJP leader Agnimitra Pal greeted him on his birthday. Agnimitra wrote in a Facebook post, “Today is my grandfather’s birthday …. Happy birthday grandfather … Be very well … Be healthy … I consider myself blessed to have you as my grandfather in this life …”
