Breaking News : 3 JMB Militants Arrest In Kolkata
The NIA wants to interrogate three Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh militants arrested from Kolkata on Saturday. Officials of the National Investigation Agency want to go to Lalbazar today or tomorrow to interrogate the detainees. Investigators may have also contacted the STF of the Kolkata Police to this effect.
The investigation has already revealed that JMB militants have entered the country through Malhad and Basirhat borders. About two and a half years ago, Naziur Rahman alias Joseph alias Jayram was a trader based in this city.
Captured militant Mikail Khan alias Sheikh Sabir has been hiding in the city for almost three years.
Militant Rabiul Islam entered the country through Basirhat border a month and a half ago. That is to say, when public life was practically stalled under the strict rules of prohibition, Rabiul reached Calcutta by crossing the border and entering the state after a long journey. It is also learned that a group of 15 members of Jamaat has entered India. A number of militants have fled to Orissa and Kashmir after infiltrating the state across the border. As a result, since the security of the country is involved in the whole incident, the representatives of the National Investigation Agency want to interrogate the arrested militants on their own initiative.
Although three Jamaat militants have been arrested, Selim Munshi, one of JMB’s top handlers in the state, is still at large. Based on the information obtained from various sources, the detectives are kind of sure that Selim has escaped from Bangladesh across the border. The STF of Kolkata Police is currently trying hard to catch him. It is learned that Selim Munshi had been living in a remote area of Haridebpur for 15 years. He used to give shelter to the members of the sleeper cell of the Jamaat who came to this state, and made them fake identity cards. Kolkata Police STF detectives believe that if Selim Munshi can be caught, it will be a great success.
