The Panihati-Kamarhati area remained hot on Sunday night. According to local sources, local BJP workers were attacked in the C block of Ward No. 30 of Kamarhati municipality. He was sitting in one place and talking. It was then that they were allegedly attacked. The BJP claimed that the attack was carried out by miscreants close to the grassroots. 6 BJP workers were injured. A complaint was lodged at the Belgharia police station. However, no arrests have been made yet. BJP candidate Sanmay Banerjee got the news on the spot. Miscreants also raided his house at night. It is alleged that the house of the BJP candidate was vandalized.
On the other hand, overnight bombings took place on BT Road at the Swadeshi intersection in Sodpur. It is alleged that multiple bombs were hurled at the BJP’s camp office.
